In Stockholms cultural south side streets you can find a vibrant restaurant full of good people, food, drinks and music. Bauer has for many years been a staple of götgatans thriving nightlife
Having been to the venue itself, taking a look at their website can be a rather jarring experience. It would be a kind sentiment to say that the site falls short of representing the venue in a positive way. It would be harsher to say that it looks like [synonym of fecal matter] and that it should have been updated a long time ago.
The faults in the dated design are varied and excessive. However, the content is still hidden within it all and I attempted to show it off in the way deserved of such an entertaining venue.
The focus had to be on the brand, not the image and colors of their online presence, but the look and feel of the actual place. The art covering the walls, a mix of Lichtenstein-style pop art and japanese street art.
The second focus would be on the rich photography hidden deep in their facebook feed. Images truly showing off the granduer of said restaurant.
The website I made was meant to brighten and liven up it's experience akin to physical place.
The core colors of the logo was used as the basic scheme for the entire website.
Though the yellow goes a long way to giving the site some much needed personality and attitude, the emotional colors are given by the beautiful photographs of the spot in action.
For many nights many people have enjoyed good food and drinks to great music. Unfortunately one can not enjoy an evening there anymore seeing as the space was sold to an evil coffeshop conglomerant.
